The French Agency for the Medical Safety of Health Products (AFSSAPS) has announced its intention to tighten controls over cosmetics intended for children of less than 3 years old. In a first time, this measure will mainly concern products given in the advertising boxes offered to young parents by maternity hospitals and that have been criticized recently. However, these controls are meant to be extended to all cosmetic products designed for babies and young children, the agency said in a release.
